Events and Fundraising
My name is Laura Hussain, I am the Fundraising and Marketing Manager here at BTHCC. I am constantly looking for new and exciting ways to raise vital funds for our college; these funds really do make a huge difference to the college, allowing us to purchase extra equipment for lessons, build new facilities and make the college the best environment for a successful education for your child.
Here at Blessed Thomas Holford we are passionate about teaching ourstudents the importance of charity work, helping others less fortunate and also working as a team to achieve a common goal.
‘Friends of BTH’ is our college charity, supporting the future of our college and our students’ education. Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College is a Registered Charity which supports the fundraising initiatives within our college. We have some great plans ahead of us, and we are always looking for more parents and teachers to join the Friends of BTH committee and get involved in various aspects of the college.
If you are a Parent, Carer, Grandparent or anyone with an affiliation to BTH you are automatically a ‘Friend of BTH’ it is then up to you how much you wish to get involved in the college.

Match Fundraising
You will now hopefully be aware of the fantastic work we are doing to raise funds for our school. We wanted to take this opportunity to remind you about the Match Funding scheme and how a little bit of your time could raise double the funds for the college.
If you work for an organisation that has a Match Funding Scheme, any money you raise could be matched by your employer. Companies may match the fundraising total for an event, or for the stall that their employee is working on. Usually, the employee will need to supply them with a letter from the college detailing the date and nature of the event, together with the total raised.
We understand that the high street banks, building societies, supermarkets and large corporations are likely to do match funding, but these schemes are not exclusive to the major corporate giants. If you work for an independent company, they may be interested in charitable giving through match funding too.
We would be grateful if you could enquire whether your employer has a Match Funding Scheme, or if they are willing to match fund any of our events. If you can’t help out this time, but you know the company you work for has a Match Funding policy, please let us know. This could be a really large source of income for the college and really help us raise money for Blessed Thomas Holford.
If your Company or Employer may be able to help with our fund-raising efforts by Match Funding please contact Laura Hussain. We can discuss your companies’ requirements.
