Transition Tours
In order to succeed we want all members of our school family to be happy, feel safe and to be excited about their transition to the Blessed Thomas Holford family. A key focus of transition is building relationships with members of their new school family. We will also build those relationships with you as parents, as we begin our home school partnerships.
So, with this in mind, we have introduced transition tours to help with your child’s familiarisation of our site and to aid and help with the transition process.
These tours are taking place on the 10th,11th and 12th of June.
The following primary schools were invited to attend on the following dates:
10th June
St Vincent’s RC Primary
St Hugh’s Primary
St Margaret Ward
11th June
Holy Family Primary
All Saint’s Primary
Our Lady of Lourdes
English Martyrs
St Monica’s
St Hugh of Lincoln
St Ann’s RC Primary
12th June
All Other Schools
We are looking forward to welcoming you on the tour.
Here is some information for you on the day.
- If you arrive at the college through the front gate (Urban Road) and head towards the Sixth Form main entrance, we will have someone waiting to welcome you.
- It may be worth noting that parking might be an issue in the 4.15pm slot with many staff still on-site. There is visitor parking information on our website.
- Our students will be on hand to give you a tour of the college as they know it best so you can ask them any questions, however if they don’t know the answer come to us at the end of the tour. We will be based in the main school hall with refreshments and cake for you.
- Please remember it is a tour to help with your child’s familiarisation of our site and to aid and help with the transition process.
We really hope the introduction of these tours are beneficial to you and your child and we welcome any feedback you may have.
